Mindset
This month we were hooked on Mindset by Carol Dweck.
This book will change the way you think, literally. It encourages your introspection and guides you to change the way you react to your own thoughts. We’ve grown so much with this one.
Fixed Mindset
The book describes two types of mindset, the fixed mindset and the growth mindset. This book helps the reader out of the fixed mindset where there is only one way to do things, and into ways of implementing the growth mindset where problem solving is fun. Don’t expect this to be easy. It takes self awareness and a willingness to grow.
Expand Your Mind
The growth mindset once implemented in your daily goings will open up your horizons. At first it will be uncomfortable, sitting in your emotions and forcing your mind to accept change and input. But once you call yourself on your fixed mindset your mind will blossom and accept more growth mindset concepts.
You’ll notice that many of your interactions with people revolve around a fixed mindset. Many of the upsets you may feel on a daily basis may be due to your fixed mindset. By forcing your brain to expand into a growth mindset, you’ll see solutions to problems you’ve been dealing with for a long time. You’ll feel willing to try new things; problem-solving in creative ways.
The author guides the reader through the science of mindset and provides tips to implement the findings to their own way of thinking and living.
If you are looking to change the way you look at things so the things you look at change ( Wayne Dwyer) then this book will definitely help.
